Life Care Centers of America’s Whatever It Takes And Then Some program honors associates who go beyond their job descriptions in caring for residents, their families and fellow associates. Here are three of the inspiring stories from our February 2018 winners:
Corinne Yockey, business office manager at Life Care Center of Burlington, Kansas, went above and beyond to help a resident who was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Yockey helped the family find a support team and even created a binder of information for the resident and his family to read.
Hadija Victorian, licensed practical nurse at Life Care Center of Acton, Massachusetts, escorted a resident to a family wedding. Victorian went to the wedding on her own time to assist as needed.
Mary McCutcheon, social worker at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Kentucky, continued to help residents even while having personal vehicle problems. Though she was without a car, McCutcheon walked to and from the local Medicaid office in very cold weather to attend appointments for two different residents.
