In 36 years of coaching, Bill Freeman knew how to win.
He led track teams to two state championships, and his football teams claimed eight state championships, with a combined record of 242-81-3. Freeman’s influential coaching career is highlighted in the 2015 edition of Life Care LEADER magazine, a publication of Life Care Centers of America.
Born in 1931, the Burlington native dedicated his life to high school athletics, finishing his career in 1990 as head football coach of Lawrence High School, one of the winningest programs in the nation.
